The CSG Environmental team prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of the development of a hotel at 225 North Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. The proposed project includes demolition of an existing 35,500 SF commercial development, to be replaced by a five-story, 216-room hotel and an approximately 13,000 SF retail pad in the Janss Marketplace. The parcel’s airspace is to be subdivided into three parcels for property conveyance and financial purposes. The proposed project also includes a zoning change to the footprint of the hotel to increase the building’s height limitation. The proposed project was approved by the Planning Commission and City Council in congruence with considerable support voiced from community members.
